Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) and European Youth Olympic Festival Operations Committee EVENTOC have signed a partnership agreement under which AZERTAC becomes the Official News Agency of the EYOF Baku 2019, taking place from 21 to 27 July, 2019.
The agreement was signed by Chairman of the Board of AZERTAC Aslan Aslanov and Corporate Director of EVENTOC Elchin Safarov.
Under the agreement, AZERTAC will place all the content related to 15th EYOF in the special section “Baku 2019” on the agency’s website. With a team of experienced journalists, photographers and cameramen, AZERTAC will provide texts in seven languages. In addition, AZERTAC will produce a photo and video footage in Azerbaijani and English.
Corporate Director of EVENTOC Elchin Safarov, noted that it is the first partnership agreement with local media outlets and it will play a crucial role in spreading the EYOF Baku 2019 news both in Azerbaijan and in the world.
Chairman of the Board of AZERTAC Aslan Aslanov emphasized that the agency has successfully covered all major sporting events held in Azerbaijan, including the first European Games, the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games, Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix and etc. Aslan Aslanov said that AZERTAC will do its utmost to ensure excellent coverage of the Summer European Youth Olympic Festival.
Baku 2019 will feature seven days of competition in 10 sports at 12 competition venues, all of which are already existing, making this edition of the EYOF also one of the most sustainable.
Some 3,600 athletes and team officials from all 50 ENOCs are expected to take part, assisted by 2,500 volunteers. The EYOF is the leading European multi-sport event for young athletes aged 14 to 18.
