‘Baku 2019’ Summer European Youth Olympic Festival ticket sales were launched on June, 10. Based on the agreement signed between ‘Baku 2019’ EYOF Operations Committee and iTicket LLC, tickets will be sold in cooperation with iTicket LLC.
146 000 tickets are available on the official websites of ‘Baku 2019’ Summer European Youth Olympic Festival and iTicket.az – https://www.eyofbaku2019.com and https://www.iticket.az, respectively.
In addition, all sport fans can purchase tickets at Park Bulvar, Ganjlik and 28 May shopping malls as well as 12 City Ticket Outlets, conveniently located in the city centre.
The range of prices for the Opening Ceremony vary from 10 AZN to 15 AZN, while prices for Closing Ceremony start from 5 AZN and go up to 10 AZN. Both events will be held at Baku Crystal Hall.
Although tickets for all sport sessions will be free of charge, they must be purchased.
The Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan Republic, Azad Rahimov, noted that reasonable prices were set for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies together with a free-of-charge policy for the sport sessions in order to increase the interest of local and international fans in the Festival and let them enjoy watching the games.
The EYOF will feature seven days of competition in 10 sports such as wrestling, tennis, basketball, handball, swimming, volleyball, cycling, athletics, artistic gymnastics, judo at 12 competition venues, all of which are already existing, making this edition of the EYOF also one of the most sustainable. Wrestling will join the EYOF programme for the first time this year.
Some 3,600 athletes and team officials are expected to take part in Baku 2019, assisted by 2,500 volunteers.
