iTicket LLC became an official ticket sale provider and supporter of the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) ‘Baku 2019’

EYOF ‘Baku 2019’ Operations Committee and the ticket sale company iTicket have signed a partnership agreement under which iTicket LLC becomes the official ticket provider and supporter of EYOF ‘Baku 2019’.

Launched in 2016, iTicket.az performs online and offline ticket sales services for concerts, theaters, sports and entertainment events. In the past few years, iTicket.az has been the official ticket provider and supporter of IV Islamic Solidarity Games, Azerbaijan Grand Prix Formula 1, European Women Volleyball Championships 2017, UEFA Champions League Group Stage, BMX World Cycling Championship in Baku, JARA'18 Music Festival, Azerbaijan Judo Federation and AFFA.

Azad Rahimov, the Minister of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan, said: “We are delighted to announce that we have successfully signed a partnership agreement with iTicket. We have set affordable prices for the EYOF Opening and Closing Ceremonies. We are also planning free ticketed access to all competitions within the EYOF sport programme. This will hopefully allow local and international fans to follow this remarkable festival of sport more closely and in person,” he stated.

Ziya Mammadov, General Director of iTicket LLC noted: “It is a great honour for iTicket to be the official supporter of the XV Summer European Youth Olympic Festival in Baku. Our previous experience in supporting other international events gives us confidence that, together with our colleagues from the EYOF ‘Baku 2019’ Operations Committee, we will be able to successfully deliver the Festival’s ticketing programme”.

A total of 146 000 tickets will be produced for this event. Approximately half of them will be available from 10th June 2019 online on the EYOF ‘Baku 2019’ official website https://www.eyofbaku2019.com and the official iTicket website https://www.iticket.az. 

In addition, spectators and sport fans will have an opportunity to obtain their tickets in twelve Ticket Outlets, conveniently located in the city center. Three main ticket sale points are located inside three shopping malls - Park Bulvar, Ganjlik Mall and 28 Mall. 

Each person can purchase up to four tickets with his/her identity document (ID.) 

The range of prices for the Opening Ceremony will vary from 10 AZN to 15 AZN, while prices for Closing Ceremony will start from 5 AZN and go up to 10 AZN. Both Ceremonies will be held in Baku Crystal Hall.

Additional details with regard to the ticket ordering and purchasing process will be announced on the EYOF ‘Baku 2019’ website in due course.

The EYOF will feature 7 days of competition in 10 sports such as artistic gymnastics, athletics, basketball, cycling, handball, judo, swimming, tennis, volleyball, wrestling, which will be staged in 12 competition venues, all of which are already existing, making this edition of the EYOF also one of the most sustainable. Wrestling will join the programme for the first time in the EYOF history.

Over 3,600 athletes and team officials are expected to take part in ‘Baku 2019’, assisted by 2,500 volunteers.
